Footage from my DJI Mini 3
It has been very difficult so far this year between weather and other commitments, to get suitable evenings to continue my Mourne 500’s summit camps with the girls. I always keep a close eye on the weather and try to find suitable evenings. Thankfully, the evening before the longest day was one such evening.

Our spot right on the summit
We headed off later in the day as we had lots of daylight available and I also wanted to ensure that there would be some parking available in nearby Ott carpark after most of the daytime hikers had already left.
The girls attempted to carry my bag We hiked up along Ott track
We headed most of the way up Ott track before turning right and heading directly to the summit. The temperature was mild with a light breeze. Just enough to keep the midges away for the most part. It was a beautiful evening followed by a fantastic morning.
